Asus ROG Phone 2 certified with TENAA

Asus ROG Phone 2 will be the first phone to have the newly announced Snapdragon 855 Plus onboard. Now the upcoming Asus gaming phone passed through China’s TENAA certification agency revealing a preliminary spec sheet.
Asus filed four models of the ROG Phone 2 with model number ASUS_I001DA, I001DB, I00DC and I00DD for certification. The dimensions of the new phone are 170.99 x 77.6 x 9.78 mm and the design is slightly refined from the previous model.
On the front, we have a 6.59-inch 18:9 display which will come with a 120Hz refresh rate. The top and bottom bezels are rather slim and but will nonetheless house dual stereo speakers. It won’t have a cutout for a physical fingerprint reader on the back. This confirms the rumor that the ROG Phone 2 will opt for an in-display reader. On the back, there is a dual-camera setup paired with a dual-LED flash.
When it comes to the battery, it will have the capacity of 5,800 mAh, which should be enough to power long gaming sessions. The ROG Phone 2 will also come with a 30W fast charger.
We’ll know all the details and pricing after next Tuesday’s event when the phone will be officially launched.
