Xiaomi Mi 9 will be powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset
New Xiaomi flagship, the Mi 9, will be launched on February 20 in China, and as we’re drawing nearer the launch date, we get more and more details about the phone itself. The company has also recently stated that this will be their best phone ever.
The latest news is that the Mi 9 will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. The new Qualcomm’s chipset in built on a 7nm manufacturing process, and it brings 45% better performances compared to the predecessor, thanks the improved manufacturing process. This will reduce power consumption, and make the phone’s battery last much longer. Not only this, but the new chipset brings many new improvements, such as WiFi 6 support and HDR10+ video recording (4K @ 60 fps).

Based on the Geekbench listing and previous rumors, the Xiaomi Mi 9 will work on Android 9.0 Pie system. It will use a 6.4″ AMOLED display beneath which a fingerprint scanner will be located. It will be powered by a 3700 mAh battery capable of fast charging. The phone also comes with a triple camera setup with a 48MP main, 12MP secondary and a 3D ToF third sensor.
