Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 revealed in all its glory

Recently we've been reporting about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. Today, it's no longer upcoming – it was released in all its glory, and it's wonderful!

Every new device has something that it boasts with in particular, and for the Mix 3, it's the display. Xiaomi places a 6.4" AMOLED display which covers massive 93.4% of the front panel. There are not notches, cutouts, almost no bezels anywhere thanks to the magnetic slider that hides the front facing double camera setup. This setup consists of a 24 megapixel sensor and a 2 megapixel depth of field sensor. Mind you, these are front facing sensors meaning that selfies, and particularly portrait mode shots, are expected to look excellent.

On the back there is another double camera setup, this time 12 megapixel Sony IMX363 paired with another 12 megapixel telephoto sensor. Xiaomi featured the new Night Mode for the main camera, and samples revealed that the photos are simply amazing. Another great thing is the 960 fps slow-mo video.

Moving on to the chipset, we have the expected Snapdragon 845 paired with either 6, 8 or 10 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. Xiaomi decided to get rid of all the unnecessary ports leaving out the microSD slot and 3.5mm port, but they left the USB Type-C for charging and data transfer. Speaking of charging. the Mi Mix 3 is capable of 10W wireless charging. Xiaomi also chose to place one such wireless charger in a factory box of each Mi Mix 3 unit, regardless of the memory configuration.

Available color options are Jade Green, Sapphire Blue and Onyx Black. Base 6/128 GB version will cost around 420€, 8/128 GB will costs 450€ and next 8/256 GB version costs 505€. The best 10 GB RAM will come with a gold-plated statue of a mythical Chinese creature in the box, it will come in a different Blue variant and it will cost 630€.
