Xiaomi Redmi phone with Infinity-O and 48MP camera

Recently there have been reports saying that Xiaomi is at work to provide a smartphone with a 48 megapixel main camera. Such a phone will come very shortly, in January, and now it's more than likely that it will be a Redmi series device.

What this means is that it will be competitively priced since Redmi phones have always valued affordability. This will be a modern smartphone, since it will have a glass back, and also an Infinity-O type display, and much like the Huawei nova 4 and the Galaxy A8s it will have a hole in the top left corner that will house a front facing camera.

This may as well be the best Redmi device so far since it is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 675 chipset and, however, there are some drawback – it will have a somewhat thicked bottom bezel. Xiaomi has decided to sacrifice some aspects in order to do something else. Even Lin Bin, Xiaomi's CEO, has reported that he had been using this phone for some time now and that it's "not bad". There's probably some truth to it, but it's still only left to be seen. When it comes to pricing, this phone, although it will belong to the Redmi family, is expected to be priced more than €250.
